The Recording Industry Association of America, the company that deals with single certifications (gold, platinum, diamond), announced earlier today that it will be including on-demand audio and video streams to its certification program. In light of this new change, Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” has been officially certified DIAMOND for selling over 10,000,000 copies in the United States alone. This makes the song Gaga’s most successful in the US as well as one of the only Diamond-certified songs of the 21st century.
With these changes taking effect, we should see all of Lady Gaga’s singles, notably “Judas” and “Marry The Night”, receive platinum certifications. Congratulations.

- She tries much too hard. EVERY bit of her costumes are only for shock value to make people pay attention to her
- Her music takes like 6 words and repeats them. That’s not a song. it’s a nursery rhyme.
- In my opinion, she exploits the gay community. Yes, she stands up for them But did you notice in the beginning of her career she said nothing about it and then BAM! over night mother monster is all protective.
- Her videos are ridiculous. Watching the Marry the Night video was a huge waste of time. Number one, mental facilities (which is where she was supposed to be, right?) are NOT like that. I can speak from experience. She ran around naked throwing cheerios. It’s dumb. It was pointless.
- She is not a good role model.
- She is one of the most fake artists i have ever seen. She visited my city a few years ago and did an interview where she had said she was not a big attention whore. This was about her music.
- how she is an attention whore:
- NO. this is not fashion. she rolls herself in fucking glue and whatever sticks is what she wears.
She DOES have a good voice, but i cant get over how pathetic she acts to get into her music.
Okay seriously? Obviously she likes and wants attention, she’s a fucking celebrity. If she didn’t like attention, she wouldn’t be famous. All celebrities are fucking attention whores, that’s kinda the whole point of being famous. Second she’s a pop artist. Pop music isn’t necessarily supposed to be this deep, meaningful poetry. Why can’t music just fucking be about having fun? Don’t try to come for her music when it’s obvious the only songs that you know are Poker Face and Bad Romance. And I love how all the people who say she “exploits” the gay community, literally can’t even back that up. Gaga has supported and fought for LGBTQ rights since day one. Dedicated time and money to fight for causes and things that she believes in. What do you do for gay rights? Sit on your ass and complain about Lady Gaga? Right. And…did you even watch the Marry The Night video? It was about the beginning of her career, when she was dropped from her label..one of the hardest times in her life..and of course facilities aren’t like that, but it appears you didn’t even listen to her. “It’s not that I don’t want to see things exactly as they happened, it’s just that I prefer to remember them in an artistic way.” IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THEATRICAL. If you don’t fucking get Gaga and her artistry, your stance is completely fucking invalid because of course it’s not going to make sense to you. You don’t take the time to get to know her. You base your opinion off of what you see in tabloid magazines and on the E Network. Again, invalid and irrelevant. And the whole not a good role model thing, it isn’t Lady Gaga’s job to be a parent and to inspire your shitty kids, it’s yours. If you honestly believe she’s fake, you know absolutely nothing about her. How she dresses has nothing to do with authenticity, it’s what she feels comfortable in, how she expresses herself. If you don’t get it, fine. But it has nothing to do with being “fake”, when she sits and writes every single lyric of hers on her own, does nothing but dedicate her life to her music and to her fans and endlessly working to them, to the point of injury. Maybe this is too much for narrow minded people like you, but don’t fucking sit here and call her fake when you obviously know nothing about her.
The whole time I was reading I was like ugh what an arrogant ass I CAN’T WAIT FOR THE REBUTTAL
^samesies about the rebuttal
also about the Marry the Night video and how its apparent portrayal of mental facilities was inaccurate and this person knows ‘from experience’ because obviously something in a Lady Gaga music video should and will ALWAYS be realistic omg just fucking stop talking
A-FUCKING-MEN!
